The Cat

The cat is still around, y'all.

The good news is that the funky eye membrane issue has gone away - yea! The bad news is that a) we may have resigned ourselves to being the proud new owners of a cat and b) the prospective new pet is nameless.

(I haven't fully committed to the keeping of the kitty who at this very moment is curled up at the top of our back steps and tries his best to bolt inside as soon as the door is opened.)

We entertained the idea of naming the cat the other night. These were the suggestions:

Ralph (David)
Buford T. Justice (me)
Roscoe (David)
Orange Cat (David)
Lance (that would be Ella's suggestion - after the previous mentioned cute boy from kindergarten)
and finally.... Willie (me)

Ella really liked Willie, seeing as how she's a big fan of Willie the Wildcat from our K-State days. And this is a cat, after all. So David looked out the back door, make a cross in the air and deemed the cat Willie.

Today Ella has decided that Willie is no good. His name should be Cat. Can you even do that?! I mean, I know you can since my dad had a cat that we called Kitty for forever. And a friend of mine had relatives with a dog named Puppy. But really? I don't know... I may go back to pushing for Buford T. Justice.

ha, too funny. Ask and you shall receive! I was just posting comments about needing updates on the cat. .

hmm, I like Willie! Willie the Wildcat has Cat in it, doesn't that count?

OJ?
Rusty? (haha, know this one won't be allowed, but I looked back at the pictures and he's kind of rusty colored on top)
Muddy? It's wild how he's just orange on top, like a muddy river running over him.
Carrot top?
Red-headed step child?
Murry?

Ok, I'll stop.

I also actually think Lance fits him, and LOVE the link. too cute!! Dellaina names everything Caden or Carson after boys from school. And even throws around words like "handsome!" these days!

Aw, kitty! I'll have to see what K.Lo thinks, but so far, I like Willie the WC.

Clearly Buford T. Justice is the best name for the cat. However, Willie is a decent second choice. :)
