Today was our big Tough Enough to Wear Pink hoopla. Things got pretty nuts around here since my office was the central location for all of the girls putting it on!
Tough Enough to Wear Pink is a breast cancer awareness fundraiser that originated with Pro Rodeo. They have benefit rodeos where the cowboys wear pink (who's tougher than a cowboy?). The groups who put on our Pink event sold t-shirts and had a free BBQ on the lawn. The girls sold 1500 t-shirts and still had people wanting to buy them! It was a really cool event and they made over $7,000 for the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation.
