Impulse buy-a-thon

These things started it all.

They are crazy good and crazy addictive. I had some a while back and scarffed them down in no time but hadn't bought any more because they are a little expensive.

I had to run to the grocery store over lunch in hot persuit of soap and tea bags. TWENTY-FIVE dollars later, I emerged from the grocery store with my soap and tea bags... and a few other items.

Here is the thought process of a crazy pregnant girl (see if you can follow along, I dare you):

'It's lunch time and I haven't had the Chinese food from here in a long time. I'll take the #3 meal, please... OK! Tea bags!...Here's the tea bags... Mmmm, the next aisle over is cookies...Hey! I could get some of those Pirouette things!... There they are! Chocolate hazelnut, that's the kind I like. But look! They have chocolate mint too! I bet those would be really good, kind of like an Andes candy, but damn they are expensive!... Andes candy? I used to eat those all the time at Granny and Grandaddy's house. I wonder if they have those here? Where's the candy aisle?... Here they are! Andes candy! And a lot cheaper than the other things! One box for me and off I go to check out... Except wait! What was right next to the Andes? Ooohhh, Milk Duds! Yum! A box of those for me too!'

I would say Somebody Stop Me! but I don't think anyone is brave enough to try!

I hear you! And dang if I'm not going to have to go hunt down those Mint chocolate pirouettes! That sounds too delectible not to try! I'll let you know what else I end up walking out with. . .because it is inevitable when surrounded by such goodness and an aura of pregnancy hormones!

The thing I gave in and tried recently was the new Oreo Cakesters! I thought they were great. I like softer things and Oreos soggy in milk, so it was a good combo of cakelike but still very much the Oreo taste! They have chocolate creme ones, too, which I haven't tried (really not a huge chocolate fan) but they looked like peanut butter cream and then I would have been all over those, too.

Well, Megs, I hate to rain on your preggie parade, but you don't have to be with child to go into a candy frinzy! Just today I was in the gro sto for 4 things and $80 later I leave without the candy! It was in my cart and here was my logic: "Oh! These candy bars are on sale! Buy one, get one free! I like these, Jim likes these, I better get some for Halloween (yeah, like those are going to last until then)..." So I wheel around the store and then right before check out, I stop and logic takes over. "PUT THOSE BACK" So, I did and I miss them so - but they were MINE for a short time!
